Message from the Principal
Thank you for showing an interest in Westwood High. This is a very exciting time for all of us at the school. You will be aware that Westwood High is a relatively small school. The benefits of attending a small school are huge. This is because teachers are able to spend more time planning resources tailored to the individual needs of each learner.
We are always improving the way we operate as a school. We are constantly developing effective teaching and learning strategies in and outside the classroom.
Learners have been making good progress since starting at Westwood High. They have made friends almost immediately. Pastoral support is very strong. There is a strong relationship between the school and parents. The local community is also very supportive of our ethos.
We now have a brand new Science Laboratory. Teaching rooms are equipped with next-generation interactive technology. The school is committed to investing in the latest teaching resources to enable the best possible learning experience.
Our staff will seek to provide your child with the care and support needed to flourish in a very complex 21st century.
